I think that we probably want to say it has a very rapid burn rate rather
that using the word "explode". Quantifying the burn rate of molten
KN/Sorbitol is probably good info to have and probably not too difficult an
experiment to set up.
I hope that you're not doing any more testing indoors though. Igniting even
a small piece of propellant indoors is just asking for trouble. I've seen
small pieces of propellant that where able to generate enough thrust to send
them flying off in one direction or another; fun outdoors in a controlled
environment, but Very Dangerous indoors.

Your suggestions about testing the effects of ignition of a large batch of
powdered propellant (or hot molten propellant) is an excellent one ...I
will add this to the document of PDT investigations, in fact. That should be
a fun experiment =-O ...!
Be careful hot molten propellant EXPLODES, and with less than 50grams of
KNSU propellant we(me with a firend) filled up with smoke a 4 room
apartment(not a good experience the neighbors almost called the
firefighters) it tooked 1 hour to clear the smoke

I could make a experiment with both mixtures and videotape them nd the send
you the movies.
