[SS-Propellant] re:testing

back then we were trying to melt the propellant into a small aluminium(thin walled contanier) on a open flame oven(wrong thing) the aluminium got hot red and ignited the propellant. since the we are using Pyrex type glass pots, and now I want to make one from cast iron.
  I was thinking to make rectangular cast iron pot to test the burn rate of the molten propellant. I will heat up the pot and the put in it molten propellant and ignite it. what do you think?
